Exploring how the gospel arrived in Ireland, and the impact it made here. We’ll see how, within three or four generations, Irish Christians had taken the good news through the western isles of Scotland, into the lands of the Picts, as far north as Orkney and Shetland, before setting out into the wild Atlantic, searching for locations beyond the known world, and becoming the first human beings to set foot on the Faroe Islands and Iceland. We’ll see these Christians crossing cultures, witnessing miracles, meeting fierce opposition from human and spiritual forces, as they are guided by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the good news about Jesus Christ, to the glory of God.
Before God sends us out on mission, He sends His Son and Spirit on a mission to save and sanctify us. But how should we understand that? What does it even mean that God has a Son and Spirit? How does He 'send' them to us? And what do their missions achieve? These three sessions, focusing on Galatians 4:4–6, will answer these questions, uncovering the amazing depths of God's mission to us, and what difference it makes that God sent His Son into the world and His Spirit into our hearts.
This three-part series equips Christians to share their faith more confidently in everyday life. Many believers feel nervous talking about Jesus at work, university, or with friends, fearing negative consequences; the first session tackles these fears and introduces simple, practical tools for conversational evangelism that anyone can use. The second session addresses a common challenge—many people aren’t hostile to faith, just disinterested. Starting spiritual conversations with them can feel impossible, but this session offers practical ways to engage apathetic friends who say, “I don’t care about God.” Finally, the third session prepares us to respond when we're asked tough questions we haven’t studied or heard talks about. It introduces five easy-to-remember steps for handling any difficult question with grace and clarity, helping us speak about Jesus with confidence, curiosity, and compassion.
